Lisa S. Fine, Esq. is a general practitioner and Mediator with over a decade of experience in various areas of law. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Boston University, she went on to Hofstra University School of Law where she received her Juris Doctor in May 1996. Lisa was admitted to practice law in the State of New York in January 1997. Though always fond of mediation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) she began regularly conducting Divorce/Family and Commercial Mediations in 2008. Though not required in New York State, Lisa completed a thirty four (34) hour Mediation Intensive Training Program through The Center For Mediation in Law in 2009.
Lisa previously worked as a senior trial attorney for a law firm in New York where she took part in mediations as a participant representing her clients interests in the hopes of reaching an amicable resolution of their respective matters. Prior to that, Lisa was an associate for a general practice firm in New York where she gathered the negotiation tactics, general practice experience, and litigation skills necessary to run her own general practice firm.
Lisa has successfully mediated and litigated cases representing both plaintiffs and defendants in the State Courts of New York, as well as the Eastern and Southern District Federal Courts of New York.
She is admitted to the New York State Bar, Eastern District of New York and Southern District of New York and has recently been invited to join the National Roster of Mediators and Arbitrators for the American Arbitration Association.
